Chapter and Event Sponsors
Our newsletter currently has space for 15 "business card" advertisements. These ads run on the back page of the chapter newsletter. As a courtesy for the first year of our chapter's Web site, these sponsors also have "logo ads" on the Chapter's home page. During this first year of operation we will seek feedback regarding the site and advertising which may result in a policy change. If you like or dislike the site, or have a suggestion, please e-mail the Webmaster. We want to make this site work for you.
Throughout the year we have corporate and individual sponsorship of events such as the Student Jambalaya Dinner, MATHCOUNTS, and the Spring Picnic. Traditionally we recognize these sponsors in the newsletter. We will be extending this tradition to our Web site.
Sponsorship Rates
The advertising fee for the chapter's newsletter and home page is US$50 from Jan. 1, 1998 to Dec. 31, 1998. This is a "lump sum" rate and will not be reduced for advertisers joining later in the year. Current advertisers have the first option to retain their advertising space and will be contacted by mail. Any spaces open as of Feb. 15 will be available on a first-come, first serve basis for LES companies or individual members, followed by any other company wishing to sponsor our publications. These funds are deposited in the chapter's general account and help pay for newsletter duplication and postage.
Special events are sponsored on a voluntary basis. Generally, we provide sponsorship categories indicating the amount donated.
The Chapter retains the right to not accept a company or individual sponsorship. The Newsletter Editor will decide if a company is not appropriate to sponsor the newsletter or web site. This decision can be appealed to the chapter's Executive Board. The Executive Board's decision is final.
Links and Banner Ads
Logo ads are not "linked." If you wish your logo ad to link to a page or email address, an additional fee of US$30/year will be charged. These funds will go to the company maintaining the site, currently Big Dogz Electronic Publishing (part of Kemper Imageering, Inc.) to pay for server storage, updating the site, and maintenance. The Chapter does not pay for this site nor its upkeep and is solely funded by contribution. The fee for links will help defray these costs.
We are planning to offer banner space and special listing for page sponsors. Please e-mail the Webmaster if your re interested.
Links to other organizations and techical societies are highly encouraged. Eventually, we would to have links to all Baton Rouge technical and engineering societies as well as those at the state and national level plus post news of major events throughout the technical world. E-mail links and events, as well as articles and editorials, to the webmaster.
